COVERED BRIDGE CIRCUIT (a 3 hour trip)

Visit six historic covered bridges,
all within an hour's drive from Jackson. Leave Jackson
through the1876 ‘Honeymoon Bridge, go south to Route302
and west the Bartlett Bridge, then over Bear Notch to
the1858 span over the Swift River. Next, in Conway, two
bridges are within sight of one another, then venture
farther south to the Whittier bridge in West Ossipee and
the 1869 bridge spanning the Cold River near Sandwich.
A FOLIAGE TOUR ON THE ROADS LESS
TRAVELED (a 6 hour trip)
You’ll go through the valley of the
lower Saco River, Evans Notch, and moose country along
the Androscoggin River, before approaching Mount
Washington and Pinkham Notch from the north. You can
include a gondola ride, the auto road and/or hikes on
this trip.

The village of Jackson is fortunate to be the home of so many buildings of historical interest that The Jackson Falls Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. To view the seventeen contiguous structures included in the designated area, put on your walking shoes, pocket your camera, and enjoy our classic New England village.
